Allah ta^ala said:
لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ *
( سورة التوبة ءاية 128 )
This Ayah means: [Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (i.e. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should experience any hardship or tiredness. He is full of concern for you; for the believers, he is full of pity and merciful].
Dear brothers in Islam,
Our speech today is about our Master, our greatest Leader, the delight of our eyes, our Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him, whom Allah praised in the Qur’an in the following Ayah:
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلاَّ رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
( سورة الأنبياء ءاية 107 )
Which means: [Certainly, Allah has sent Prophet Muhammad as a mercy to the world].
He is Muhammad, to whom the hearts long for.
He is Muhammad, with whom the souls find its comfort.
He is Muhammad, whose look captures the eyes.
He is Muhammad, the one when his name is mentioned; the tears of the eyes of those who long for him run down abundantly.
How can we not long for the one upon whose sight the camel cried and in whom the camel confided.
How can we not long for the one to whom the trunk of the dead palm tree mourned when he ceased leaning on it.
Dear Muslims,
If a piece of wood longs for the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, then definitely, you are more worthy of longing for him.
My dear Muslim brothers, you love the Prophet a great deal, so do not ever feel shy to shed tears upon hearing his name peace be upon him, for Prophet Muhammad is the most patient amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the most courageous amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the most just amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the most chaste amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the most generous amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the most intelligent amongst people, Prophet Muhammad is the one with the most modest behaviour amongst people…
The Prophet peace be upon him said:
<<Every prophet sent by Allah had a handsome face and a nice voice, however, your Prophet (meaning himself peace be upon him) has the most handsome face and the nicest voice>>.
